Notesസന്ദീക്ക മാർ യൗസേപ്പ്, a Syriac hymn to St. Joseph from Dharmaram, Bengaluru.
"O' Sandikka mar Yawsep"
'ഓ നീതിമാനായ മാർ യൗസേപ്പേ'
O' just, St. Joseph...
Yet anther Syriac song from the Dharmaram team in Bengaluru as part of a remarkable project to build an all new repertory of chants.
The attempt is daring and praiseworthy. The song is in honor of St. Joseph. The time is appropriate as we are getting ready to celebrate the feast in a few days on March 19.
Through the efforts of the Dharmaram team under the leadership of Br. Thomas Kappil Puthusseril, CMI, more and more Syriac sounds are becoming familiar to the Syriac Christians in Kerala. Some of the words in the lyrics are already part of the Malayalam vocabulary.
We congratulate everyone who is involved in the production of this song and wish them very well.
Definitely, such efforts will augment the conversation on an international cultural heritage.
We are grateful to Br. Thomas Kappil Puthusseril, CMI for granting permission to post this video on the Aramaic Project channel.
