Text in East Syriac Transliteration (English) Translation (English)

Nuhrā (h)u d’min raumā
Ušemšā dadnah b’gāw ālmā
Danhar b’arāḇā lashōmā
Udannīh brīṯā baqyamtā
Qyamtāḵ (h)ī mār(y) sawrā lan
D’mawtā bethleṯ min gensan
Atu nuhāman uhayyayn
Tešbōhtā lāḵ min mad’ayn

He is the Light from on high
And the sun who rose on the world
The one who enlightened the abyss in the sunset,
And pleased the creation by his resurrection.
Your resurrection is, my Lord, hope to us;
Because, death ceased from our race
You are resurrection and life
Praise to you from our minds.
