The current Thaksa (missal) contains the Institution Narrative in Malayalam and Syriac. Most priests ignore the Syriac version primarily because they are not Syriac literate. In contrast, the priests in the 1960s took pride in reciting the Institution Narrative in Syriac during Qurana in Malayalam. They felt proud in uttering the same words that Jesus uttered at the Last Supper table. This video shows that returning to the proud past is still possible. Meanwhile, the priests should try to educate the people about the significance of the Aramaic language, the language of revelation.
